Dog Washing

Yesterday after work, it was soooo HOT!! Last weekend Roper and I went to a friends house in Oakdale and spent the afternoon lounging in the sun and catching up on the latest happenings. My friend is currently re-landscaping their backyard; getting the pool resurfaced, new concrete patio, new grass, new flowers, A GARDEN!! I'm jealous :) So Roper got to hangout with Missy and Zena; which was the highlight of his day let me tell ya! He was running around, chasing lizards with Zena, trying to wrestle with Missy, and frolicking through weeds and the arena! He was having a blast!! With all this running around and mischief making, he was red with the concrete stain...........so, since the sun was out and it was so nice yesterday, I gave Mr. Roper a bath :)  Much to my surprise, he stood there on the concrete slab as I washed the red away. After he was dried off we played for a while and he modeled a little bit :)

Each of these images are very different. I had fun playing with the light and whatnot :)

Handsome Boy :)

I caught this shot when we went and visited the kittens.

Roper

Extremely energetic, acrobatic, and athletic, Roper is going to be 11 months old in a few days!!! HOLY MACKEREL!!  I cannot believe how fast time has gone by since I got him back in September! I am so thankful that I found him on craigslist...NO SHAME!! And to think that I went to the breeder's house and wasn't going to get him. SO glad I did. He has changed my life. He is my very best friend. The one I tell all my secrets to and he listens when there is no one else around. Not to mention how smart this dog is!! Training him has been quite the experience, but worth every second. He knows how to sit, lay down, lay all the way down, hi-five & shake with BOTH paws, rollover, he doesn't run off (except once), and he has ALMOST mastered holding a treat on his nose until I say he can have it :) I love my partner in crime!!

My buddy :)

I found him napping here one afternoon!

Co-pilot!

Yah....his tongue is just toooo big for his mouth lol

Mr. Crooked Lips :)

 Love himmmm!!!!

No Editing on this next one...the sky was RED!!!!

Bronté & Lance | Everyday

I am so excited to share this session with you all!! Bronté Phillips has been a very close friend of mine since I started college. We had Ag Economics together at MJC and instantly became friends. We used to sit in class and laugh at this boy who sat in the front because we thought he was so awkward and quiet…seriously, he literally NEVER spoke!! As the next year went on, I got a call one day from Bronté who started to tell me that she and that weird boy from Ag Econ were going on a date!!! Now here they are, two years later (I can’t believe its already been that long!!) and so in love. So incredibly happy that these two people have found each other! I was bored one day at her house so I convinced them to let me shoot them!!! (With a camera of course!! :)  Enjoy!!

I love how the leaves on the tree made a heart around them :)

 My fav!

And last but not least, I just HAD to throw this in with my assistant Mr. Roper :) (he loves his Auntie Bee!!)

So today I was

sitting on my bed trying to get things figured out; making business decisions, trying to finish (or try to maybe get remotely close to finishing) my website, and dreaming big.....really BIG. (oh and I spent a little time on pinterest......ok, A LOT of time on pinterest) I like to keep busy when there are things going on in my life that I have no control over. THAT WAY I keep my mind off of those issues and let God take the wheel and guide me through them. And just when I start to stress out, I look down, and there he is -- furry, dark, and handsome; the love of my life; looking up at me, head on a pillow and everything in the world is right again.

I got my puppy Roper back in September. On the 18th :) It was a Sunday and I was with my good friends Stephanie and Cody. We drove out to La Grange to look at some border collie pups. They were definitely going to get one and I knew that I really wanted one, but I was hesitant. We pulled up to this house and saw the two cutest border collie puppies in the world! Roper and Waylon were the only two left out of the litter of NINE!! So, to make a long story a little bit shorter, I decided to bring the puff ball home and become my best friend. He is very smart and knows how to get things down off of the counter in the kitchen. :/ But that makes us college kids keep the house picked up for the most part :) I am so glad that I made that decision and I am thankful that God has placed him in my life! Stay tuned for updates about our adventures! :)
