True love is hard to find. When I first heard this couple’s
story, my heart melted. It was at a friend’s graduation party last summer when
I met Chanté and Rory. They’re the kind of people whose smiles and
personalities brighten the room anywhere they are. Two years ago, Chanté had
just graduated and was moving back to her hometown in Huntington Beach. To get in some last minute
hangouts and good byes, she hung out with a friend at the mall and ran into her
friend and Rory. This was the first time they had ever set eyes on each other. They hung out the next night. After she had gone home that evening and was getting ready for bed, she got text from Rory saying that he had fun and it was nice meeting me. The next day she had packed up and left for Huntington. The entire time she was gone they talked CONSTANTLY; all day and all night, text messages, phone calls, email, everything. She came back to Redding two months later, hung out with Rory and he asked her to be his girlfriend. Of course she said yes!!! They became extremely close, spent every day together; they were BEST FRIENDS! Around October, Rory explained to Chanté that he was moving back to England for 6 months in December!! A month before he left he proposed!! AND SHE SAID YESSSSS!!! He left back to England that December; they said their goodbyes and they both cried. The entire time he was gone, they talked on the phone and did what they could with the eight hour time difference. THEY MISSED EACHOTHER. Twenty-two days later, Chanté picked Rory up from San Francisco International Airport and have been together ever since :)!!!!!!! (SERIOUSLY their story should be made into a movie....NO LIE!!) I had chatted with Chanté a while
ago about doing an engagement session and I immediately got excited!! Now they are ready to start a new chapter to their story. We met in
Downtown Redding last Saturday and started shooting…and let me tell ya, these guys are
PROS!!!! Seriously, check them out!!

Dog Washing
Yesterday after work, it was soooo HOT!! Last weekend Roper and I went to a friends house in Oakdale and spent the afternoon lounging in the sun and catching up on the latest happenings. My friend is currently re-landscaping their backyard; getting the pool resurfaced, new concrete patio, new grass, new flowers, A GARDEN!! I'm jealous :) So Roper got to hangout with Missy and Zena; which was the highlight of his day let me tell ya! He was running around, chasing lizards with Zena, trying to wrestle with Missy, and frolicking through weeds and the arena! He was having a blast!! With all this running around and mischief making, he was red with the concrete stain...........so, since the sun was out and it was so nice yesterday, I gave Mr. Roper a bath :) Much to my surprise, he stood there on the concrete slab as I washed the red away. After he was dried off we played for a while and he modeled a little bit :)
Each of these images are very different. I had fun playing with the light and whatnot :)

Roper
Extremely energetic, acrobatic, and athletic, Roper is going to be 11 months old in a few days!!! HOLY MACKEREL!! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by since I got him back in September! I am so thankful that I found him on craigslist...NO SHAME!! And to think that I went to the breeder's house and wasn't going to get him. SO glad I did. He has changed my life. He is my very best friend. The one I tell all my secrets to and he listens when there is no one else around. Not to mention how smart this dog is!! Training him has been quite the experience, but worth every second. He knows how to sit, lay down, lay all the way down, hi-five & shake with BOTH paws, rollover, he doesn't run off (except once), and he has ALMOST mastered holding a treat on his nose until I say he can have it :) I love my partner in crime!!
My buddy :)
I found him napping here one afternoon!
Co-pilot!
Yah....his tongue is just toooo big for his mouth lol
Mr. Crooked Lips :)
Love himmmm!!!!
No Editing on this next one...the sky was RED!!!!

For the Love of TEAL!!
Its pretty; my favorite color. It's almost an unhealthy obbsession. BUT I am absolutely incredibly infatuated with the color teal :) I don't knw what it is but I just flat out LOVE it!!! When ever my friends of family see something remotely close to ANYTHING teal they say, "OOOOOHH CATIE WOULD LOVE THIS!!!!" and that bringgs me to the reason for this post :) When visiting my parents a couple weekends ago, my mom surprised me with a gift that she couldn't pass up leaving at the store:
Isn't it preeeettttyyyy?!!
Thanks so much momma!!! I la la la la laaoooooveeee it!! :D
Little Bit of This & Little Bit of That
So today's post is going to be a little bit random, but random is fun!! Well at least I think so lol....Here we go! So today, on my lunch break I logged onto creativeLive and watched a couple inspiring videos that encouraged me to take some photos this afternoon. These videos all had one theme in common, KEEP PRACTICING. So that's what I decided to do! I went outside after I got home from work and the light was so fun to work with!! (Light is probably my BIGGEST inspiration!) I was able to just walk around the property and take shot of anything!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!! and FUN! Annnnnnnnnd.....most importantly it was good practice :) As some of you know I have recently moved, so now I can show off a little bit of what I get to see every day :) Enjoy friends!
