Wedding Wednesday | Rob + Melissa - Aptos, California

On Saturday, July 7th, I had the opportunity to work alongside two amazing photographers, Cheri Bradshaw and Chelsie Mullett at Rob and Melissa's wedding in Aptos, California. Chelsie had posted in Pursuit31 that she was 2nd shooting a wedding that needed someone to man the photo booth and possibly be a third shooter. I gave Chelsie my info and later received an email from Cheri and it was set!! I was BEYOND excited that I would be working with these ladies!!

We met in Aptos, California at the Historic Sand Rock Farm where Rob and Melissa would promise forever! Cheri allowed me to shoot whatever I wanted throughout the day. We started by shooting details; the rings, the shoes, the dress, the bouquet. And oh did we have fun!! After we finished it was just about time for the girls to get dressed and help Melissa put on her gorgeous gown! Around this time, the videographers from Artisan Production set up and started shooting as well. (You can watch Rob and Melissa's invite here and their wedding video here.) We then moved into the first look; it was such a beautiful day!! I enjoyed learning from Cheri; her creativity was contagious!! I had so much fun working with you gals and I feel so blessed that we all crossed paths and had the opportunity to meet!!!

Enjoy a few shots from Rob and Melissa's Aptos Wedding!!

Sunday's Sweet Reminder | Sparkling Skies for Independence Day 2012

This years celebration of our country's independence was a bright one that's for sure. I tagged along with one of my best friends to start celebration at Lake Tulloch. We sat around outside while the kids in the neighborhood played a game of baseball, and then set up for our fireworks show. It's such a great reminder of how lucky we are to live in this country, being able to eat what we want when we want, be with who we want, and be what we want to be. This Sunday's Sweet Reminder is to be thankful for our country, our troops, and our freedom!! God Bless America!
